Excellent pressing! No pops, clicks or surface noise. Highly recommended, unlike this one: https://discogs.desbloquearpagina.com/release/15010455-Sadus-Swallowed-In-Black -

This album is nothing short of completely masterful. The musicianship is absolutely insane and off the wall, yet still plenty catchy. The lyrics are incredibly thought out too. This is a very intensely technical Death/Thrash album in every sense of the word. It is super impressive. I cannot imagine giving this album anything less than 5 stars. The tape itself sounds as close to perfect as it can be to me. I am really stoked to own this powerhouse of an album on the original tape format. It’s beautiful and will never leave my collection. Get one while you still can! -

My copy had scratches and some surface noise. Very dissapointing. -
BEWARE! My copy is mislabeled. The cd is printed with the SWALLOWED IN BLACK tracklist but the actual content is A VISION OF MISERY. Anyone else with the same problem?

Classic 90's thrash/speed/death release. Technothrashgrooves from hyper-speed players. The rhythmic section KILLS while the guitar riffs are always solid & powerfull. Very good sound engineering, away from Morrisound studios.
I think it's a MUST for a thrash/speed/death/hardcore fan. I had bought it when it came out back in early 90's, but the record lost (..after this, i swore never again borrow my vinyls even to my best friend..)& i bought it again some weeks ago.

The beginning of a new decade opened the way for a new sound and conceptual delivery, the energy from Thrash Metal was slowly opening way for the consolidation of Death Metal as the new influence into the Metal territory. "Swallowed in black" its by far a revolutionary album for 1990, its sound differs completely with everything on the market and perhaps demark the beginning of a new epoch.
Sadus offered a very polished technique combining the ferocious riff from Thrash alligned in perfect synchrony with the hectic frame from a very progressive Death Metal, Its very original style shows em changing rhythms constantly and always impressing with the quality of its energetic arrangements, never losing the balance between powerful rhythm & melodic construction. This is an album that distils technique and precision from the very first chord till the last and evidently displays an album that was meticulously worked and studied. The bass & drums are incredibly alligned and impress with its detailed accuracy for the violent and precise rhythmic changes that are a constant during the whole album, always maintaining the aura of force that never loses the balance or direction established with each track. As for the guitar role, well, its half of the album, an utterly progressive direction that was totally uncanny (with just few exceptions) during the 80s and now in a manner of visionary creation displays what the future will bring during this new decade.
Particularly seen, you'll perceive in this album a perfect coexistence from two Metal styles completely harmonic in its consolidation and a subversion of the orthodox formula from the 80s Metal tradition. The vibrant progressiveness from this technical hybrid still maintains its quality to this day and its quite difficult to rival after 20 years from its creation.
