I am not sure it worth the 66 euros I paid for it. Nergal is releasing previous albums non stop and also ruining artworks with silly autographs no one asked for. I mean it is ok to do it once but every freaking release is ruined by the band's signs. Anyway, this is gonna be a major flip in a few months

Edited 11 months agoThe box is pretty awesome and gorgeous, the art is wonderful and the records look great. The original Nuclear Blast press has slightly higher dynamic range scores, but it also sounds slightly different. Given this is a modern Behemoth production, I'd say this edition sounds just "right" for what it is, if that makes sense.
There was some noise here and there for me, and some pops (mostly on "Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer") but otherwise a great pressing.

Music, like any other art in its most meaningful and relevant incarnations, is a channel to express and try to understand what makes us human.
And, as such, along the way you will find expressions of love, longing, sweetness, light and happiness, sorrow, pain... and of course bitterness, hate, utter darkness and rebellion.
Because, like it or not, all the above are within the human soul and make us what we are, and to deny it is to be not just naive, but dangerously unaware of our own nature.
From my point of view, with "The Satanist", Behemoth managed to create the perfect soundtrack to the darkest side of the human experience.
This is a perfect album in its brutality.
Its raw, yet nuanced quality hits you like a runaway train that doesn't kill you instantly, rather letting you feel the whole brutality of the process.
Songs like the one that names the album also see the band coming into a more mature way of expression, being able to conjure brutality without the need of being backed by a permanent blast beat, but by sheer contention and dark musicality, building up an incredible tension that will break at the end when all hell (pun intended!) breaks loose, and it has become my favourite Behemoth song.
The rest of the tracklist, including highlights such as "Furor Divinus", "Ben Sahar" or "O Father O Satan O Sun!" are just some of the best metal songs in a while, and make up what, to me, it's the best album out of the whole Polish band's career. -

I am looking for Death Human Lp first press, Obituary the end complete Lp first press...or some old school Florida death metal vinyls or cds or cassettes.

Probably the best extreme metal album of all time. I agree.
Excellent pressing. Separation is great, bit more volume than average, to my ears, which is nice. The packaging is simply amazing. -
Amazing press of an incredible album! Super large sounding and a full on incredible experience with an awesome booklet insert! Very beautifully done! The pressing is very clean and only a few tiny pops here and there!

Quite a lot of good riffs, but no entirely good songs at all. Many songs like Furor Divinus that are thorough uninteresting. However, almost all songs have at least a few very good riffs. The more atmospheric, sorrowful riffs are the best ones, especially when the bass slowly moves in the background. Speaking of which, the sound of the bass is lame and safe. When the guitars play hard, it works in the whole, however. The overall sound is so overproduced that there's no suspense or danger, and that pretty much kills this album. Most of the more groovy riffs sound simply irrelevant, especially with these sounds. The good parts give hope but they're gone soon. Same goes with the drum fills and bass lines. Several very good moments don't make the album one that'd be listened many times, because the mood always flattens in between. Quite a lot of potential that isn't realized.
