My copy sounds great. I have none of the distortion issues mentioned by others. My pressing is black vinyl

I'm very happy with my copy of this album. I'm not hearing any of the distortion issues mentioned by some reviewers. Listened on an Ortofon 20 Stylus. Album comes through very nice and clean sounding. Not sure if the issues some folks are having are related to a bad pressing, or the equipment they are playing it on.

Pallbearer is such a difficult band to pin down on vinyl. I agree with the sentiments already expressed here as my copy sounds great but does have a slight layer of distortion on sides A and B. Part of that has to come from Brett's tone and tuning. Don't get me wrong, I respect how he creates his own unique sound - but when you drop a 7 string to A you can get muddy pretty easily. The individual tracks seem clear to me and don't overpower each other any more than I'd expect with the artist's choices. All in all, I'm pleased with the outcome.

Just got my copy and played all 4 sides all the way through, this is a fantastic album and the sound is amazing! I read that it has a very good dynamic range for a newer Metal release (it's a solid DR-10), the guitars are clear, the bass is loud and thick and the drums are nice and crisp. Highly recommend!

My pressing is really shitty. There is a line of distortion over A and B sides without any visible damage on the surface.
