Edited one year agoSad sack doom. A melancholic amalgam of doom metal and shoegaze, amongst other genres, can we call this "doomgaze"? This album can sound whiney, like boringly self-involved and repetitive miserabalism, if you're in the wrong mood, but in the right mood the combination of catchy melodies and long-form epic doom hits the spot. I consider this Pallbearer's best album, at least so far.
