Same problem here. VERY LOUD pops and crackles. The same skip at end of B side that there refers to happens to me. Such a pity Steeplechase won't take more care with their pressings.

Side A has a locked-groove skip on the last track. Also sibilance and distortion present. Shame, as the pressing actaully looks really clean.
Edit: skip disappeared. Weird. Using a Rega RP40. -
this pressing has terrible audio quality... too lazy to return but lots of crackling and some skipping.

I've had two copies of this record and both had the same issue. The needle just keeps jumping towards the end of Side A followed by loud crackles. Would not recommend this pressing. -

Edited 5 years agoI bought two copies of this 2019 edition and both had the same bugs - the last song from side B had permanently loud crackles and clicks and on one copy the needle jumps three times. If you read some reviews of this 2019 edition, they had all identicly failures, so this pressing isn't recommendable. Look for another one, because the music ist great. One of the best later recordings of Chet.
