Lacking a bit of bottom end, but very enjoyable to listen to. Clean vinyl, quiet, and crisp recording.

I'm breaking up the party here folks. While these DMM versions sound clean they're not as good as the originals. The low end just isn't there and I could tell right away after A-B ing them. So if you have all the Rush originals, please keep them. Remastering doesn't always mean better and in the case of these DMMs that's definitely true here. I won't be buying and more of these new Rush vinyl albums.

Edited 12 months agoMy copy is excelent, no surface noise and clean pressing. Globally I like the sound quality, good mastering although I wished the bottom end was more pronounced. Overall very happy with this release.

Edited 3 years agoI'm a nut: I had this one on cassette (I was only ten, cmon!), then mid-late-80s CD, then a remaster, then Japan SHM-CD, and now finally on vinyl. Gotta say side 2 always had weird dullness for me, especially the cassette and the 80s CD. The cassette had an awful pitch or hiss to it that became noticeable in "Camera Eye." But this version sounds amazing. "Vital Signs" never sounded this good before. Not sure why. Maybe I'm just imagining it? Get this pressing, if you don't have on vinyl. [Also, want to say same: 180g, 2015 (C) dates, same matrix readout, but no card and different sticker #.]

Edited 3 years agoSide one sounds great, side 2 is extremely crackly. I don't think I've had complaints about QRP presses before but there's always a first time, and this is it. Hopefully a good cleaning takes care of this. Also, it seems that cards are no longer included anymore.

I have this pressing although a different 180g sticker without the . No indications of 2019, but doesn’t match any 2015 pressings from USA.

Wow! So glad I patiently waited for this reissue to become available instead of paying mega bucks on eBay. Unfortunately, my copy didn't include the code. Perhaps Mercury stopped including it or I got unlucky.

Was hesitant to give this one a try but glad I did - sound is excellent and no clicks, pops or skips on mine!
Was the least expensive version I could find brand new - very happy. -
Echo most comments here - excellent remastering by Sean Magee at Apple, great full dynamics across all frequencies. But......the vinyl quality of these pressings is inconsistent (other sources/blogs/comments tend to confirm this elsewhere too) -- the one I have now, brand new out of the sleeve, has random pops and quick crackle where none should be on new vinyl (including an annoying tick for about 10 revolutions during the quiet intro to Red Barchetta....uggghhhh!). Both sides have also been pressed slightly off center, noticeable by watching my tonearm move back and forth about 1/8 inch as it plays -- it's a bit worse on side two, where it creates a slightly noticeable impact on the single background synth note in Vital Signs, where you can tell the pitch changes every so slightly. This is my 2nd copy of this LP, since I had to return the first that had a ridiculous pressing/stamper error right in the middle of Limelight that rendered that song unplayable. Not sure if its an issue with vinyl coming from Quality Record Pressings, I'm not sure I have anything else pressed there. But, again, musically it's great -- pressing/vinyl quality inconsistent.
