Every time I see copies of these in Walmart, I always picked them up since they are currently $23 each and if you keep them sealed, they are worth $55 right now

Kinda crazy how good all of these Walmart copies of Metallica’s discography sounds. Damn good pressing. Their colored copies of Kill Em All AND Ride the Lightning sound just as good.
-
Sounds really good. Even at $22 bucks it’s a good deal. Looking back having got this at $15 should be a no brainer.
-
Pretty disc, marbled translucent brown/amber. Mine sounds like absolute muddy trash, though. Shame since everyone else seems to have gotten good presses.

Edited one year agoMy copy turned out to be translucent marbled brown and I honestly love the color! It matches the cover nicely and is better than the red shown in other photos. Sounds great! AND the sleeve was lined with rice paper which is such a nice touch these days. Way less scratches when getting it out!

Awesome sounding record! If you want the kick drum to punch you in the gut like a Metallica record should, Buy this! My copy is more orange than red.
-
Bought this at my local Walmart for $ 22.97 last week on January 14, 2022. I think this remaster is likely identical to the 2017 remaster since the deadwax says “Obey Your Remaster and Metallipress.” This was pressed at Pallas just like the 2017 and cut by Chris Bellman. My copy is silent and sounds great. The color of the record is more of a reddish brown than just red.

Edited one year agoNot a bad pressing, in brownish red vinyl on sale at Walmart for only $15. Score.
Sounds decent, plenty of bottom, no mids(but you knew that), silent between tracks. no issues with pressing.
