The first thought that comes to me when I listen to this album is regret that there is a Dismember album with the name "Dismember" there is no song with the title "Dismember". Overall, this is a good album, composed with soul and recorded with a powerful groove and overloaded sound. Perhaps we can say that the band left at its peak, because the last three albums are strong in their own way, although they do not differ much from each other. The album of the same name is definitely not a failure, it still has the same old-school Death Metal with quoting NWOBHM.
There are no questions about the sound of this vinyl, this album was recorded relatively recently according to modern industrial standards, it's hard to say what was wrong with this 2008 album, which needed to be remastered. Most likely, without special technical measurements by ear, you will not find any differences. As there was a wall of sound, so it remains. The color of the vinyl record perfectly matches the cover, the photo does not convey this color - it looks really beautiful, so to speak, "immortalized themselves in gold." There are no complaints about the quality of playback, the record is smooth and perfectly quiet. In of design, exactly the same set that was on the first press, except that it was made in the gatefold format.
As for the general impressions about the series of album reissues of Dismember, it's cool that it turned out to collect the main discography relatively quickly. This is definitely a better option than looking for most albums on the first press at inflated prices and definitely better than buying shit from Back on Black. Of course, nowadays the fan audience demands richer and more exclusive versions, but if you still need sound from vinyl, then the overall sound level and quality of these vinyls is quite high. In addition, there are quite a lot of them printed, without unreasonable hype, you can safely collect the necessary albums, combining them with releases from other bands.
