Overrated album. It looks like a seamless collage between Dark Side of the Moon and any Trve Black metal album. Maybe it's a good initiation for young people. -
Everyone wondering: this is the TRANSPARENT BLACK vinyl version. Check the notes for the solid black version.

Mine copy is just black, not transparent black. Really cool pressing: no surface noise, the disc is super flat. Vary affordable price. I love it! -

Edited 6 months agoHow is this pressing for surface noise? Reviews on the turquoise pressing aren’t great, 2 reviews highlighting surface noise.
All the US pressings are pressed by Memphis Record Pressing so quality is a concern. I have the US Gold one and it has surface noise on both sides during the quieter ages.
I’m hoping the black Europe pressing does t have these issues. -

Edited 8 months agoThis year's record so far! A killer album which not only blends the band's former releases perfectly, but dares to go some steps further - to say the least. Berlin school synth stuff, Kraut rock, death metal, prog, and it all makes total sense together. Above it all there is a special kind of Voivodian space atmoshere which keeps everything together. Like Voivod, Cynic, Death or Atheist before them, Blood Incantation pushes the boundaries of extreme and experimental music into new territories. A great piece of art, and an instant classic. -
