Edited 5 months agoSounds great, looks great, though it does seem to suffer from some pop and crackles even after being brushed, as noted with what seems like every version. Also had an interesting loop that repeated a snippet at one part (of side c?) but then continued on as normal, which was kind of funny but disruptive to the mood of the album.
All in all, I'm happy to finally have a copy after pas the original press like a dummy all those years ago due to finances at the time.
I don't fault this pressing for these playback quality issues because they seem to be present on every version, which makes me think it's just the same plates they've used all this time; the problem residing therein. The odd surface noise aside, it sounds pretty full, clear, pummeling the wall you share with your neighbor with full enough force to rattle the pictures hanging on your wall. A welcome addition to the collection. Play it loud, absorb yourself into the doomy goodness, just don't get too startled when it cracks at you. Accept it for its flaws as you do with those around you.
