While this release does sound great, it just didn't really blow me away like I thought it would. With that said, I have nothing else to compare it to. I've only heard this release on cassette and CD. Others in the comment section probably have a better idea than me. Just not sure it's worth $70 plus or not

Well SRV may have ed on but everytime i put this LP on and close my eyes he is right back here in my living room
stunningly good pressing
I always preferred Stevie live but this pressing is so good ... wish i had them all on AP -
Five star release right here. Incredible in every way - packaging, mastering, press quality, etc… if you’re a fan of this album, this is the THE one to get.

Really fantastic pressing! The copy I received had a quiet disc 1, and disc 2 had a little noise in the split seconds before the cartridge hooked (but to be expected, and not noticeable during play).
Comparing this to an original or the other 45 rpm pressing we all love to line it up next to...you're getting a slightly different flavor of Texas Flood than what we've heard before, and one welcomed to my ears. Rounded, tight end with a great representation of depth throughout the mid range...finishing off with positively detailed top end that is neither too shrill or subdued. Just right. The detail on tracks like Lenny and Mary had a little lamb was incredible, you could hear Stevie's fingers against the strings.
A must have pressing of Texas Flood for a fan of SRV and Double Trouble. -

I had two issues with this latest re-pressing (June 2022). There was damage to the inside of my gatefold jacket and more significantly, the spindle hole of the second LP was too small so I had to shave some vinyl out to get it to fit on my Groovetracer spindle. With all of that said, this album sounded amazing and that's the most important part to me.

compared to an original pressing this is a disappointment, i understand the need to smooth out his guitar shrill but dont over do it,, the basically took the life out of this record and its a damn shame because RKS is one of my favorite engineers,,,,, Avoid
