Messiah, Rocksteady and Moonwalk are the tracks that stand out for me.

I played cause 4 concern - research all the time in 2001, it was my favourite opening tune of all my sets, listened to it again just recently and it still packs a punch!, the rest sounds a bit dated now though.

Apparently, Messiah is the biggest tune on 'ere but the album boasts a handful of solid and banging tracks. Research oozes C4C's trademark bass funk, Marcus Intalex comes up with a groovy thang "Moonwalk". Usual Suspects rolled out a heavy as usual but awesome "Bodycount". These are just to name but a few, the rest of the tracks are dancefloor smashers as well. It's a huge album on RH, in my opinion.

When i bought this album I was only interested in getting the messiah track and horns 2000 and now this album is now 20 years old in that time i have grow to love the rest of the tracks on it as this tracks are nothing like the new stuff and also hardware records are no longer around ... This is a classic album for 2000 and must have for real dnb headss...

Tough to decide favorites on here but ill have to say that "ice age" by dj ink and "out of touch" by total science are my personal crate anchors. A very solid huge pack in dnb history roight ere. I cant even imagine the logistics of pressing a 7 pack, i mean, its hard enough to even pull a track out that ur looking for in that monster. HA!

Sums up the end of the millennium paranoia so well - I being down The End for one of RH nights and bumping into Raidan (I hung out with him a little bit as we both lived in Portsmouth at the time) and hearing Messiah dropped for the first time - we just looked at each other and then exploded into dance frenzy. Its one of those, I'll never forget when moments

My favourite track though is Dylan's Spasm - wicked triplet bass drum kicks - mixes well with some of Metallica's tracks - believe me, I've done it to much bemusement

Wicked album...every track is the business, the whole being greater than the sum of its parts! I purchased this album when it was released only knowing 2 of the tracks, being more into a mellow/liquid mood at the time. I did what I always do with a new album...pressed RECORD on my Pioneer CT-S610, powered up my SL1210s and started mixing the entire album there and then...What a selection of tunes!!! If you are new to post 90's d&b or just new to the scene this album is the perfect starting point. Worried about your first live/public DJ set? File this album in your DJ Box and you can't go wrong...Your dancefloor will fill up, no doubt! Almost the best album release by Renegade Hardware...Though 'Quantum Mechanics'is also right up there...and it was released in 98'...

I can't understand why this album doesn't have a "5" or more rating. Every track is solid as only Renegade Hardware can represent. Sure this album was probably geared toward Tech Step but songs like Research and Moonwalk have a Liquid DnB vibe while songs Rock Steady and Spasm have the Hard Step vibe. The Craft represents the off beat, on beat styles of DnB and Messiah is just what it says . Caution has the groovy hard funk appeal. It's just one of the best albums of all time, don't take my word for it, just listen. As a matter of fact all songs on this album are ANTHEMS...

This compilation is a milestone of Drum and bass. 2000 was a very formative year in the scene, and this album has some of the biggest anthems from that time. There are tracks on it, wich were simply useful on the dancefloors, and simultaneously showing the future. Real treasures from the great era of drum and bass. If someone says this is not a great piece of progressive art in dancefloor music, that person may not understands that era. Let me see. The Craft, Out Of Touch, (although the Source Direct remix was more popular, but the original is good as well) Forcefield, Ice Age, Spasm, Horns 2000, Messiah, Bodycount, Research, Moonwalk. These tunes were played by most of the big names that time and were the ones wich defined that music.
